so i got super sick. as awful and painful as the ordeal was - its nice to know that there are people around looking out for you.
and its especially nice to know you can rely on someone (even when you're not quite willing to admit that you need to)

i have a list:

strawberry marshmallows : summers at the cottage - doesn't matter where i eat them they cheer me up

chocolate : best drug ever - i did well at easter and i'm pretty sure i ate most of my grab today

corn nuts : yay bulk barn! - remind me of long car trips to wonderful places (but also work well to distract people in class with the loud crunching - AND for distracting me while writing essays...)

brian adams : not quite the song of the week but definitely on the play list today "When you really love a woman" - this song just popped into my head today and i had to download it. i don't even listen to brian adams. but i'm enjoying it anyways. (except for the line about unborn children in her eyes - that line sort of creeps me out... which is probably why this won't make song of the week) great opening guitar though.

alanis morissette : best 'closet' music for belting outloud

hugs : don't ever take them for granted because some days you just don't get enough and you'll remember how you miss them (thankfully i haven't had to worry about them lately)

sun : its finally getting nice out and my spirits are going up with the temperature

fruit : i bought lots today and i missed it

go go go : for some reason i've been pretty darn ambitious lately... maybe its my way of getting distracted from my homework that needs doing. maybe its the change in weather. either way i like it!

you : you made my list

change : nothing really ever changes because everything is always changing. doesn't seem to make it any easier though and change is on its way...

iron ring is this friday. a large majority of my friends will all be receiving there's and celebrations will ensue. i'm proud of them. maybe its a weird thing to announce but i am proud of all of them. i mean heck - i couldn't get through it in 4 years and i know there was probably at least a couple times that all of them wanted to quit. but you all made it! and i'm PROUD of you. and kinda sad i'm not going to be up there with you... but my time will come.

well back to corn nuts and ethics papers.

people who say the grass is greener on the other side of the fence aren't standing on the same side of the fence as i am right now.

either that or there is a man running around painting fields with a green spray paint. and i think that's cheating.

i just got ash from my candle ALL over my hands. i'm smooooth.

having fewer class hours makes it harder to do work when you have to - because you've trained yourself to be lazy.

tip of the day: do not scratch locations that have been hit by fire-coral. i continue to do so and the situation is not improving. but i can't stop myself.
check out my self control! (not)

this one's for you karen:

with much more consideration on the matter i still prefer my movies to be full length features. when you get the edited versions its like... having to play a videogame using a joystick... only without the joy!

SONG OF THE DAY: Dice by Finley Quaye ft. Beth Orton

sometimes you don't realize how much something means to you until it comes unexpectadly... and when its a good feeling that makes you skip down the halls at school oblivious to your dorkyness then it is such a good thing.

well i'm back from cuba and the sun and the swimming and the warm did tons to lift my spirits. the only thing not cool about my trip was sunscreen and the sand that sticks to the sunscreen. now i love beaches - but they don't work as well if you're wearing sunscreen. so if i could get away without wearing sunscreen i would seriuosly consider moving to a warmer climate!

excellent trip though with excellent friends.

in other news dorky smiles are the best kind of smiles. and i seem to be full of them lately...
